Dr Leon Van der Walt obtained his primary medical degree in South Africa in 1993. He has enjoyed a varied and interesting medical career that has allowed him to work in the Public and Private Hospital systems in the UK and Australia. He has gained experience in Paediatrics , plastic surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, Ophtalmology, rural and remote medicine and emergency medicine during these years. He has also worked for International SOS in the Asia Pacific region gaining experience in travel, corporate and tropical medicine.

He obtained his specialist GP qualifications in 2011 having passed all the required Australian exams including the AMC exam.. He also holds a post graduate diploma in skin cancer medicine from the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine.

Leon has been in private GP practice for the last 11 years and enjoys all aspects of Medicine. He enjoys living on the Central Coast with his wife and three young children, and they love exploring all the beautiful beaches and bushwalks it has to offer.

We are pleased to advise that within our practice, Dr Leon Van der Walt is Skin Cancer College Accredited. This means that he has successfully completed high level training with the Skin Cancer College Australasia and has proven skills and knowledge in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer.

Tracey is a Registered Nurse with 30 years experience, the past 15 years spend in General Practice. Tracey specialises in woman’s health, immunisations and wound management.

She also has a keen interest in health promotion and disease prevention.

Tracey is available on a Monday and Wednesday.

Michelle Fyfe

Michelle grew up in New Zealand, and has lived with her family on the Central Coast for 13 years.

She absolutely loves the beach and has been a voluntary life saver for 10 years at Soldiers Beach.

She is very involved in the local community participating in fundraisers regularly.

Michelle has 15 years in the Medical Field and is stepping up to a more senior role. She has excellent communication skills and approaches patients with empathy and interest in all their needs.
